Explain what is PLA film.

PLA film refers to a type of flexibles film made from polylactic acid (PLA), a biodegradable and compostable thermoplastic derived from renewable resources
It have good transparent, high tensile strength, making it widely used in soft packaging applications like food wraps, beverage cups, and biodegradable packaging bags. However, its heat sealing effect not very well(temperature around 55–60°C), which limits its use in high-temperature processing or storage scenarios. Additionally, PLA film can be completely degraded into carbon dioxide and water under industrial composting conditions, offering an eco-friendly alternative to traditional petroleum-based plastic films（like ldpe and cpp）

PLA is a compostable material. PLA has heat sealing properties, so it is often used in the inner layer for sealing. From my understand, PLA is extracted from corn and cassava starch. Its heat-sealing performance is average, making it more suitable for small, heavy packaging.
