What technical questions help you judge whether a customer is professional or not?

For most of customers, if one knows the packaging type and dimensions, it always shows this customer is serious and professional. If one customer knows something about the material, like "I need some metallized material to protect my product from oxygen and moisture", it shows more professional.

I think it is the bag type and size. Because the type and size of the bag are directly related to the packaging method,they are not designed, but are related to the filling method.

For example :professional customers:"need 200ml spout pouches with dimension 10*18 cm .

Non-professional customers: just say "a bag for snacks", the bag type and size are completely vague

In my opinion, the most fundamental way to determine whether a customer is professional is to see if they know the type of bag they want. For instance, some customers cannot distinguish between a four-sided seal and an eight-sided seal because they look similar. When choosing one, their answers might vary each time. These customers are typically less experienced. However, some customers will clearly and directly state the name of the bag they want. Of course, customers who can state what materials they want and their thoughts on the materials are definitely more professional. But clearly knowing the structure of the bag they want is necessary for having a certain understanding of packaging.
