I have some experience with customers who are confused about the cylinders cost.
Some of them may confused that why you ask so many colors for the printing? There is no yellow color on my artwork, why you make the artwork proof with a yellow cylinder? Even somebody think it only need 1 cylinder for all of the printing.
For all of them, I always explain them by sending our post which is saying the details of why the printing ask many cylinders, and also prepare a picture that shows every color details.
Most customers understood.

Let me give you an example: the customer wants to print a color that is difficult to print, but the statement is not clear: How can we print this shadow
Can we do it on aluminum foil?
Second question
The normal printing process is on the out layer? Not on the middle (AL)
My answer: Good morning, thank you so much for waiting. I have confirmed that this effect is entirely achievable. Here is our solution:
1. We will use three spot colors to complete this design. This requires three printing cylinders to achieve the desired effect because individual colors are more stable and more suitable for printing on light-colored backgrounds. If you have an artwork layout, that would be best. Our designers will provide you with a preliminary printing plan for reference.
2. Yes, we use gravure printing. This results in a more refined design and more stable color control. The first layer is printed and then laminated, allowing the color of the second layer of aluminum foil to show through.
Printing on the AL layer is completely unnecessary, as it will have no difference in effect from printing on the first layer. Since we discussed earlier that you want a matte finish on the bag surface, printing on the first layer will achieve the same result.

There was a customer before, the first time we take the quotation according to the MOQ, and then he said he wanted to change the MOQ, I directly replied to him how much it was, and the customer said could he get a complete quotation.
At that time, I just didn't think it through, and it seemed quite casual. However, I immediately explained that I was at home and would update you with the quotation the next day.
What I feel is that in this kind of situation, try to reflect it in the table, so that the customer can see it at a glance, and it is also more formal.

From my experience, clients may have no clear idea about the sample cost. They might simply think they just need a few bags printed with their designs, and a $200 charge for just a few bags is unreasonable. Since they’re unaware of our printing process, they often overlook the labor and material resources required for producing these sample bags. In fact, the pre-production preparation costs we incur are the same as those for mass production. Whenever this happens, I need to explain the labor costs to them, and they will usually understand this.
