Al foil has excellent performance, so is Al foil omnipotent?
For example, a packaging that needs to be folded repeatedly (like a standup pouch) uses Al foil, and after fold, it is easy to have pinholes, resulting in a decrease in barrier performance.
In this case, if add a layer foil of NY ,
The structure becomes: PET/AL/NY/PE
Because NY is extremely tough and resistant to puncture.
Or use VMPET instead of Al foil.
The Al layer is coated on PET. Its folding resistance is better than that of Al foil and the cost is lower. However, its barrier performance is slightly worse than that of Al foil. |
