I came across something interesting on Xiaohongshu today.

go bananas 激动、疯狂（情绪突然爆发）
例：She went bananas when she heard the news.（听到消息后她激动坏了）

 top banana 老板、上司、头儿（口语里常用）
例：He’s the top banana in the company.（他是公司的一把手）

banana skin 出洋相、尴尬的局面（尤指因小失误导致的难堪）
例：He slipped on a banana skin and made a fool of himself.（他踩香蕉皮摔了一跤，出了大洋相）

banana oil 花言巧语、空话（偏口语，不太常用）
例：Don’t listen to his banana oil.（别听他的花言巧语）

second banana 配角、副手（仅次于主角的角色）
例：She’s the second banana in the team.（她是团队里的副手）
